Full Definition

An HDHP is a health plan with a minimum deductible and maximum out-of-pocket limit set annually by the IRS. HDHPs are the only plans that allow participants to contribute to a Health Savings Account (HSA). In 2026, the minimum HDHP deductible is $1,650 (individual) and $3,300 (family).
