Independence statement
EmployerBenefitsIQ.com is owned and operated by Corry Hull, REBC®, CSFS®, an employee benefits consultant at BHC Insurance. The editorial platform is funded through consulting fees, speaking engagements, and direct subscriptions — not through advertising, sponsorship, or referral fees from vendors for editorial coverage or placement.
Corry Hull and BHC Insurance receive standard brokerage and consulting compensation (commissions, consulting fees, and carrier overrides) in connection with client engagements. These compensation arrangements are fully disclosed to clients as required by law. They do not influence editorial content, vendor profiles, scores, or recommendations on this platform. No vendor, carrier, TPA, PBM, or other service provider has paid for inclusion in our comparison tools, vendor profiles, or benchmark data. No vendor has paid to improve their ranking, score, or presentation on this platform.
All editorial decisions — what to cover, how to score, what to recommend — are made independently by Corry Hull based on what is most useful to self-funded employers and their advisors.
What we do
- Accept vendor-submitted data corrections (reviewed before publication)
- Accept vendor-supplied data clearly labeled as such
- Disclose data sources on every vendor profile and benchmark page
- Publish corrections transparently in our corrections log
- Update vendor profiles when market conditions change
- Invite vendors to submit updates via our vendor portal
What we do not do
- Accept payment for inclusion in comparison tools or vendor profiles
- Accept payment for favorable ranking, scoring, or presentation
- Accept advertising from vendors we cover in comparison tools
- Accept sponsored content that is not clearly labeled as such
- Remove or alter vendor profiles at commercial request
- Share user data with vendors without explicit user consent
Conflict-of-interest policy
Consulting relationships
Corry Hull operates an independent benefits consulting practice. Employers who engage Corry as a consultant may use vendors profiled on this platform. This relationship does not influence vendor profiles, scores, or recommendations on EBIQ. Consulting clients are not disclosed on this platform.
Speaking and education
Corry Hull speaks at industry conferences and employer events. Speaking fees are not contingent on favorable coverage of event sponsors or organizers. Event sponsors are not given editorial input on platform content.
Affiliate and referral arrangements
EBIQ does not currently participate in affiliate or referral fee arrangements with vendors covered on this platform. If this changes, it will be disclosed prominently on the relevant pages.
